Online marketing starts with your website

Internet marketing allows you to reach a global audience. Internet marketing is marketing your business online. Online marketing starts with your website; make sure it???s attractive and easy to use. When they need information, modern-day consumers turn first to the Internet. All of your online marketing will make sure they will find

To increase profits online, you should use all available sources to improve your Internet business. Make every effort to obtain inbound links and traffic. Some of the typical, inexpensive techniques that work are blog comments, forum postings, and my favorite; article submissions.

By submitting articles to the best article submission sites, you get high quality links from sites with a Page Rank of 4 or higher, as well as increased page views, traffic, and improved search engine rankings for your site.

I have a number of articles listed at one of the best article submission sites and through that one source; I have generated over 12,000 page views, 1200 URL clicks, and over 400 articles with external ezines and websites. These are some powerful numbers. And that is just from one directory. When you consider that I submit each of my articles to about 30 directories, the numbers are pretty impressive.

To get these kinds of numbers, you have to submit to what I call the best article submission sites. That is, directories with a Page Rank of four or higher. In addition, the site must be more than 1 year old. The reason for this is simple. Sites that have been around for a while get a greater number of visitors. That translates into more page views for my articles. Also, if it has been in existence for more than a year, it is probably not going out of business any time soon. That is very important because the average new article directory lasts just three months.

In addition, by submitting to the best article submission sites, the Page Rank of my site increases. Each time I post an article, it provides a backlink to my website. Search engines see the large number of backlinks at the article directory as well as ezines and other sites that have published my work. As a result, my Page Rank numbers increase. This increased Page Rank number means that my site will get a better placement when people do searches. This means that I will receive more traffic. And, of course, an increase in traffic will increase profits.

So, improve your Internet business and increase profits. Submit your articles to The Best Article Submission Sites and watch your business take off.

Internet marketing allows you to reach a global audience. Internet marketing is marketing your business online. Online marketing starts with your website; make sure its attractive and easy to use. When they need information, modern-day consumers turn first to the Internet. All of your online marketing will make sure they will find

Article marketing is one of the most powerful forms of website promotion especially if you are on a tight budget. If you are decided to use this technique to make your website more popular, establish yourself as an expert on you chosen niche, increase your sales potential, pull up your search engine ranking, and augment your profits, these 4 amazing new steps can help you jumpstart your marketing efforts:

1. Avoid blatant advertisements. This is the common mistake of new marketers. They provide little information about their topics and they talk so much about the features and benefits of their products. This will not in any way help you boost your sales potentials. Why? Publishers do not want to publish articles that sound more like a sales letter because people find them annoying. Besides, your articles must be able to educate and impart knowledge to your potential clients so they will be read and republished by other online users.

2. Do not include links on your articles. If you want to increase your chances of publication, you must make sure that your articles are free from hyperlinks. Publishers will only allow you to insert URL or anchor texts on your resource box.

3. Avoid spelling and grammar errors. If you would like to create a good impression online, you must care to provide articles that are error-free. This will strengthen your credibility and your professionalism.

4. Avoid too much hype on your resource box. While you are allowed to insert URLs on this part, you must not make it sound like an advert. It should only contain your name, your expertise, and your URL. Keep it short, compelling, catchy, and intriguing so you can effectively drive readers to your website.

Just what are the Benefits of Submitting Articles to E-Zines

E-zine advertising is perhaps one of the most underused forms of promotion. It is a good idea to do your homework, before launching your viral marketing campaign. Article writing and publishing has become the latest buzz in the internet website marketing world. The name of the game as far as Internet marketing

There are a number of ways to maximize your profits and often they have nothing to do with increasing revenue. Case in point, if you are pulling in $1,000 a week in your internet business and spending $1,100 you are losing $100 and if you are pulling in $400 and spending $300 you are making a $100 profit. Sadly, many people look at the person "earning" $1,000 as successful despite the fact that this person is overspending with little result. Such is the case when it comes to online marketing and the traditional banner advertisements and email campaigns of prior years.

Yes, at one time these methods of advertising were successful ways of drawing in a potential buyer. Placing a low cost banner advertisement on a website leads drew great attention to products in the past. Ditto email marketing which essentially took the age old concept of direct mail marketing and made it electronic. Times, however, have changed and these methods of marketing - while still somewhat useful - really can no longer be the strategic basis of a marketing campaign.

With banner advertisements the actual purchases on "click throughs" have diminished. Also, the number of people clicking on banners has diminished as well. Part of the reason for this is that people have become wary of the spyware intrusions that banner ads often bring. For email marketing, it was overexposure that killed the beast. Essentially, people have become tired of receiving absurd amounts of "spam" emails everyday and this has led to greatly tuning out on advertisers who use such campaigns. This is to say nothing of the increased costs of dealing with bulk email marketing providers.

One can simply take a test of their own daily internet activity to prove that these methods no longer work as effectively. People spend more time on social networking sites like Facebook and Myspace and video sharing sites like YouTube than reading through emails or clicking on banner ads. This alone is proof that the internet is moving in a different direction to which there are no signs of turning back. People are searching for content, and it makes far more sense to advertise for little to no cost on these types of sites versus paying thousands for outdated methods.

The landscape of internet marketing has changed greatly from prior years. These days, it would be far more effective to look into search engine optimization, blog advertising et al for ones online marketing needs. Economics simply dictate as such.

The biggest benefit to this style of marketing is perhaps the creation of new traffic on the site.

The most important thing to remember when using article marketing on your site is that you need to generate unique articles in order to generate new traffic. People don't want to read the same old stuff, so you have to get creative and find some interesting viewpoints and information on your topic to snag the reader in.

When you have a lot of unique content, you will attract a lot of Internet traffic. People everywhere use search engines to locate information. If they are searching for information that is related to your articles, then you have generated possible new traffic to your website.

Unique article content is what drives the web market today, bringing in customers by the droves who become engaged in that unique content and are therefore statistically more likely to make a purchase there. By creating custom articles you want to keep the attention of those reading it but also keep it short and to the point. Do not make it seem like an advertisement and don't appear to be adding filler - just make sure to include the keywords naturally in your writing.

Why should you include these certain words? The main reason is that you want the article to flag Internet search engines, which will increase your ratings at these search engines. This will lead to increased new traffic from your article's keywords.

You can generate new traffic to your site by placing your articles on other sites with a link back to yours. This uses article marketing to its fullest revenue generating potential. More articles on other sites with links to your site provide you with more potential new visitors. This, in turn, gives you more opportunities to earn, which is the main gist of marketing.

Article marketing is a crucial tool in modern business. It can be modified to suit nearly any subject and it has the potential to generate a lot of new traffic. Remember that it is not static. It must always change. The best way to make it successful for you is to perhaps write one article a day.

The most vital thing to be aware of when using article marketing for your website is that you must create unique articles that will generate new traffic for the site. Okay well first create a site with a decent amount of content and numerous pages. Make sure the site is a minimum of ten pages long. After that, submit it to the major three search engines in google, yahoo and msn. Once you have done this you can start to focus on yahoo. Because if you make the site strong for yahoo it will likely rank well in the other two major search engines. That is what the ultimate goal should be but we can now put our focus to yahoo.

Firstly wait until your site is indexed in yahoo before you buy a directory listing. A yahoo directory listing has a page rank of seven, buying one costs around two hundred dollars. As soon as you do though, your site will become an immediate power house in yahoo. This is pretty simple and is the way yahoo rewards people for buying the listing and it makes sense when you think about it.

Second focus on sites that also rank well in the same niche as yours in the yahoo search engine. The contact the site owners and ask for a link exchange. The key is to not pay for links and make sure they are in and from the same niche as yours otherwise the search engine will reject it close to immediately. With a yahoo directory listing and links from and to other powerful sites in your niche, you will rank top five with in a month or two.

Article Marketing on the Internet is a whole different story

Article Marketing on the Internet is a whole different story because of the way your articles reach humans who have an interest in them. Article Marketing will help you increase your link popularity, search engine positioning for your keywords and phrases, and it helps you reach more potential customers for your products or services.

When it comes to SEO, link building is by far the hardest part to get right but once you do your set for higher website rankings and more targeted traffic being to your website.

There are a number of things to remember when link building for your website:

#1 - To Buy or Not to Buy

When buying links you really do get what you pay for. The more expensive your links are to buy the better they are for your site so avoid purchasing mass links for a bargain as these can actually be damaging to your websites ranking.

#2 - Good Links

The best kinds of links are ones which come from universities or government agencies and search engines play favourites with these kinds of links so if you can obtain one for your site it is sure to boost your ranking to the first page within a relatively short amount of time.

#3 - Bad Links

The worst types of links are backlinks from gambling, pharma and porn sites. These can be detrimental to your websites ranking so avoid these at all costs.

#4 - How to I get more?

There are a number of ways to get quality links to your website without purchasing them.

The first is to actually ask for them. You can do this by emailing the webmasters of sites that you wish to link with you and request a link exchange. If you can obtain a phone number it is a good idea to call and make a request as you can use your selling powers to get their link.

Submitting your articles and Press Releases is also a great way to obtain those quality links and will help in driving up your website ranking as the search engine robots will be more attracted to your pages.

Article marketing, of course, is the process of writing articles, including one or more links to your web site within the articles, and submitting the articles to the various online article directories.

One of the things for which article marketing is especially useful is that of increasing search engine rankings.

How does that work?

Lets take a step back.

How do the search engines determine which websites should be ranked higher than others, and in which ranking?

One of the ways that search engines determine which web site should rank higher than another web site is by counting the number of inbound links to that web site. An inbound link is a link that is coming into your web site.

The theory is this: if you have more inbound links, you must be more popular, and if you are more popular then your web site must have more to offer, than another web site in your niche with fewer inbound links than you.

So how do you get more inbound links, and therefore increase popularity and search engine rankings?

One of my favorite ways , and one of the easiest ways, to do this is by article marketing. Each article that you submit to an article directory, with a link in it pointing back to your web site, gives you one additional inbound link to your web site.

Article marketing is a quick and easy way to get multiple inbound links to your web site. I regularly submit my articles to a list of about 150 article directories and each of these directories places a link back to my web site, which increases my inbound link count and my link popularity.

In search engine optimisation, it is a crucial element to select the right keywords when optimising a website. The obvious reason being, if you have keywords with no search volume, you will not receive any traffic. Secondly, if you have keywords that are too competitive, you will find it very difficult (almost impossible) to win high ranks. So how do we find the in between balance for both obstacles? This is where keyword tools would come into place, but how accurate are they?

To start, the main keyword research tools that are found on the market today are Wordtracker, Overture Keyword Tool and Trellian Keyword Discovery. Now I bet many of you are pulling your hair out over which keywords are going to be suitable for optimisation. What makes it probably even more stressful is the varying results between the three different keyword tools i.e. one keyword tool may show a particular keyword to be very good, while another tool may suggest a whole different result for the same keyword. Well stop stressing right now! The truth is that we dont really know how accurate these keyword tools are and we should only use their search volume figures as an indication as to whether a keyword is popular amongst search engine users.

Lets say a keyword phrase, dog products, has a search volume of 5,000 searches per month on the Overture Keyword Tool. To make an assumption that dog products is a good keyword for optimisation, based ONLY on the Overture figure, would be a very bad assumption. However, it gives us a rough idea of the search volume for that particular keyword. The next step would be to use Wordtracker or Keyword Discovery to see if a similar amount of search volume is present for dog products (remember to convert searches for each tool to a common time frame i.e. monthly or daily). If we have a very low search volume in BOTH Wordtracker and Keyword Discovery, then I would be very skeptical about using dog products for optimisation. The whole idea is to get at least two of the three keyword tools to reflect reasonable / high search volumes before considering that keyword to be suitable for optimisation. If you have all three keyword tools returning reasonable / high search volumes for dog products, then the chances are that this keyword is reasonable / high in search volume and definitely worth considering for optimisation.

Once a good set of keywords have been agreed upon through the use of the keyword tools, you should then focus on the keywords that have a low / reasonable amount of competing web pages. There is no point trying to compete for a keyword that has 1,000,000 web pages in competition for it. If you are good at SEO then you could achieve high ranks for that keyword, but it would require a lot of time and investment which could be spent on better things. The lower the competition is, then the more chance of achieving higher ranks.

To recap, there is no indication to say that keyword tools are 100% accurate. Whilst the reseller of the tool may suggest otherwise, I highly doubt it. The results should be taken like a grain of salt as they are only useful to give you an idea as to what the search volume might be like for a particular keyword (high, moderate or low). With each tool obtaining its results using different algorithms, in some cases their results will not support each other. Provided you use two of the keyword tools to investigate the search volume for keywords, you should be able to make a good decision as to whether a keyword might be worth optimising for. With that in mind, it would also be wise to use your common sense to determine if a keyword is one that YOU would actually use in a search. Otherwise, what would be the point of optimisation in the first place?

If you are a website owner, you will definitely want to get your website rank well in Google organic listings for keywords phrases that are most relevant to what you are offering. Getting your site to the first page of Google is not an impossible dream, as long as you choose the right keywords for your optimization plan.

Do not make the mistake of trying to optimize one-word phrase such as "flowers" or "golf". There are 2 reasons why you should not do this. First, it is almost impossible for a new site to get into the first page of Google for these types of keyword phrases, as it is way too competitive.

Secondly, a good search engine optimization plan is to optimize keyword phrases that are more targeted. For example, "golf" is too general and the traffic that comes to your website may not be very eager to buy golf equipments from you. They may just be interested to find out more about golf. On the other hand, if you optimize keyword phrases like "discount golf clubs" or "used golf clubs", you stand a higher chance to convert your website visitors to customers.

Now let me share with you 4 best SEO tips to get to the top on Google:

1. Choose the right keywords. Again is back to what I have shared with you above. Choosing the right keywords for your optimization plan will determine whether you succeed in getting to the top on Google. Choose keyword wisely and make sure that they keywords you choose have substantial search volume to justify your effort.

2. Good onsite optimization. A good onsite optimization is the basic of all successful SEO case studies. You need to place keywords in areas such as the title tag, meta tags, header tags, alt tags and content. By getting a keyword targeted domain name such as mygolfclubs.com, you will score extra point with Google.

3. Good original content. Google dislikes non-original content and penalize duplicate content. If the content of your website is not original, no matter how much optimization you do to it, it will not rank high. It is definitely worth your effort to spend time developing quality and original content. Update your site with fresh content frequently and you will score another big point with Google.

4. Intensive linking campaign. Google takes into account the number of links pointing back to your website. With more links pointing back to your site, it shows that your site is important and popular. However, links pointing back to your website need to be relevant to what your site is providing. Relevancy plays a very important role if you want to achieve successful optimization. You can get links pointing back to your site by submitting your website to directories, and writing articles and distribute them to the various article directories online.

With good organic ranking on Google, you can be sure to see a surge of traffic to your website and hence more exposure of your business.

Article submissions are a great way to promote your Internet Business and drive in targeted traffic. There are literally thousands of ezines, websites and newsletters you can submit to in order to increase your website traffic.

The problem with this practice is that you will often times spend more time re-working your articles and filling out forms than you did in writing them!

This practice is not only very time consuming, but also lends to a duplicate content dilemma.

If you submit an identical article to multiple websites, search engines rapidly identify the duplicate content and you do not receive the maximum benefit of incoming links from your article submissions.

Imagine having to manually create a different version of every article you write for every website you submitted it to - what a headache!

This is where article submission software comes in handy. It can make the job of submitting articles much easier. Most of the article submission software packages submit to their own list of publishers. Top quality article directories e.g. Ezine Articles, Go Articles, Article Dashboard and the like only accept manual submissions, so article submission software is out of the question with these quality directories.

You can expect that you will typically pay per article or for a set number of articles per week or month. The fees themselves, are generally cheap, but they add up swiftly since you want to publish a constant stream of articles to drive targeted traffic to your website.

While article submission software programs are not cheap, the cost is well worth the time you save and more quickly ensures increased website traffic and promotion to your Internet Business, the end result of which is more money in your pocket.

Here's the bottom line - building up and promoting your Internet Business, increasing your website traffic and driving in targeted traffic are much more easily and quickly accomplished with the benefit of article submission software.

One of the great challenges facing small business owners is that they must often battle for customers against larger competitors, who can afford to run more advertising, offer lower prices, and who are better established in the marketplace.

And yet some small business owners do it very successfully. How?

There are some proven marketing strategies to use when competing against larger, more established competitors. These strategies have been used successfully by companies of all sizes to drive sales and carve out a sustainable position in the market. They apply to online commerce and traditional small businesses.

Here are details on two such strategies that you can use as a small business owner to help grow your business when competing with larger competitors:

Take the Alternative Position

If you are up against the market leader in your business, shift your market position so you dont compete directly with them on their turf. Become the alternative to the market leader that is, promote and advertise an aspect of your product/service that the leader simply cant offer. This is a classic marketing strategy that has been used successfully by small companies and major corporations, because it allows you to compete with the leader in a part of the market where they may not be very strong.

Pepsi couldnt beat Coke at the cola wars, because Coke was viewed as the original cola drink that had no substitutes. That was fine with Pepsi. It let Coke have that territory, and instead marketed itself as the Choice of a New Generation. Its marketing appeal and target audience was young and cool - everything that Coke couldnt be with their more traditional positioning. Pepsi successfully carved out the number 2 position in the market by becoming the primary alternative to Coke, and made billions in the process.

The rule applies to everything from .com companies to local furniture stores. Survey the competitive landscape in your market and determine how you can position your business as the best alternative to the established market leader. Second place in a given market can be a very nice place to be from a profitability standpoint.

Sell what they dont have You!

Many small business owners have found success by building their personal reputations as experts in their field, with significant benefits to their small business. They have become the public face for their company.

Some large companies have a public face, a person who represents the company in the minds of customers (Richard Branson for Virgin is one). But most dont. As a small business owner, you can effectively represent yourself as an expert in your area of expertise, and drive awareness for your small business in the process.

One of the most effective ways to build your reputation is through the credibility that comes from publicity and media relations activities.

Here are some guiding principles to working with the media as a small business owner:

View it as a relationship reporters need story ideas and expert sources - you can offer both when it comes to your area of expertise to create a win-win situation

Pitch story ideas about whats new and whats changing the media likes to break news about emerging trends, either in your industry or related to your experience as a small business owner

Strive for repeat business once a reporter has identified you as a good source of information on a topic, they will keep coming back to you so ensure that early in your relationship you are available to them and willing to offer help in getting information for them to pull a story together

Having a single person leading the charge to build media relationships and run the company makes it easier to transfer the goodwill that you achieve in the media over to your business activities. This doesnt work nearly as well for larger companies, so leverage this competitive advantage and take a personal approach to building your business through publicity.

You Can Compete!

Small business marketing is all about leveraging the built-in advantages of being a small enterprise in the battle against larger competition for customers and sales. Establishing your business as an alternative to the market leader in your business, and building personal credibility that can be transferred to your small business are just two strategies that you can implement to help your small business succeed against bigger competitors.

Sometimes I get asked, you write so many articles that are very similar in nature, why would a publisher pick one of your articles over another one of your articles, or why would you get more traffic since you are writing multiple articles on the same topic.

Actually I'm not writing these articles so anybody can go to EzineArticles and pick them. I'm writing them so that the Google search engine will pick up the article.

For example, if you type in lots of different keywords in the article writing niches, in product creation, in website traffic generation, if you type those in you'll see that my articles in EzineArticles tend to come up relatively high in the Google search engine. That's what I'm targeting.

Most of EzineArticles traffic - my understanding is that it comes from the Google search engine and not from people who are just searching around EzineArticles itself, so I'm attempting to go for that one unique page that is going to pique someone's interest.

The second thing is we've done multiple tests on this, and of course the more articles that we write then there's a marginal decrease in the number of visitors we get per article, but it still increases the total volume of visitors.

We've kind of found that this number between 600-800 articles submitted per month is kind of an optimal number. It gives us a good number of visitors per article and this doesn't go over the board. We've actually gone as high as 2,000 in one month and found that at that level we didn't increase our visitors much past the level that we're at with about 800.

Building traffic and obtaining quality inbound links for your website cannot get easier these days. You can simply write and submit articles to submission sites and viola! You instantly gain quality inbound links. This is how article marketing exactly work. It's hassle-free, delivers quick results, and it's cost-effective.

Here are the 5 profitable methods to breakthrough with article marketing:

1. Quality of your articles. You would like your articles to be read, picked up, and republished by online users. That can only happen if your articles are useful, well-written, and content-rich.

2. Quantity of your articles. In article marketing, each submission grants you one quality inbound link. The more articles you submit, the more links you obtain for your website. This could mean a lot of great things for your website such as increased traffic, improved page ranking, link popularity, increased sales potential, and positioning yourself as an expert on your specialized field.

3. Keywords. To give your articles an edge so they will be highly visible on online searches, you need to incorporate relevant keywords throughout your content. By doing so, your articles will be properly indexed by major search engines making them relatively easy to search online.

4. Article submission sites. There are over 200 article submission sites in the internet today but not all of them are created equal. Some, just like EzineArticles.com and goarticles.com, have impressive page views and steady traffic that can ultimately give your articles the exposure they need so they can be potentially distributed and republished.

5. Monitoring your articles progress. You can easily track down the number of times your articles were viewed. From this, you can gauge if your article marketing campaign is working for you or you need to make necessary revisions to improve your marketing effort to increase the clickthrough rates of your articles.

When you do, you are increasing your chances of convincing them to check on your website and become your potential clients.

2. Make use of anchor texts. If you are posting your articles to your blog, website, or social bookmarking sites, link your other articles through the use of anchor texts. Use the most appropriate keywords that appeal to your readers to increase your clickthrough rate.

3. Commit. The key to success in article marketing is consistency. You can't just post 100 articles and wait for the traffic to build up to your website. Instead, you need to strengthen your online visibility and your expertise by consistently writing and submitting articles on a regular basis. By doing so, you will effectively address the needs of your readers for information every time they search online.

4. Resource box. To increase your conversation rate, spend more time in writing your resource box and make sure that it has the ability to drive readers to your website. Make it compelling, keyword-rich, and attention-grabbing.
