Article Marketing on the Internet is a whole different story

Article Marketing on the Internet is a whole different story because of the way your articles reach humans who have an interest in them. Article Marketing will help you increase your link popularity, search engine positioning for your keywords and phrases, and it helps you reach more potential customers for your products or services.

If you want to attract more visitors to your site, establish yourself as an expert on your field, generate link popularity, increase your search engine ranking, pre-sell your products, and entice visitors to access your website over and over again, then you need to incorporate article marketing to your traffic-generating strategies. This tool is not only proven efficient but it is also very cost effective.

Here are the 4 hidden secrets to grow your article marketing:

1. Keep your articles short. Online users love reading articles that are brief, concise and direct to the point. Remember, you do not need to write a 750-word article when you can discuss your topic using 250 words. By doing this, you can create more articles that can lead to more back links to your website.

2. Make every word count. Most article directories do not pay attention to the word count of your articles; they are most concern with the quality and content. So, avoid using fillers and fancy words just to make your articles longer. Instead, consider every word that you use and make sure that they have a direct impact on your topic. This will make your articles meatier and worth reading.

3. Use compelling titles. Your headlines should be attention-grabbing. They should communicate what your potential readers will miss should they ski your articles. Keep your titles short, direct to the point, and intriguing.

4. Hire some help. If you want to have more articles to submit to article publishing sites, I recommend that you outsource some of your tasks. You can hire a ghostwriter or someone who can submit the articles for you. By doing this, you get the tasks done half the time, making your more productive.

Article marketing continues to wow both new and seasoned marketers as it never fails to deliver great results. It has been the preferred marketing technique of webmasters who would like to augment their website's traffic and increase their online revenue.

Here are the 5 new ways to accelerate your article marketing:

1. Article submission sites. Register with the best publishing sites over the internet. While you are at it, make sure that you carefully read and understand the terms set by each site. It would help if you can note them down so you can review them when writing your articles.

2. Search engines. You need to know how to please the search engines so they will properly index your articles. Optimize your content by identifying relevant keywords within your niche through the use of keyword suggestion tool. Then, use major keywords on your titles and all throughout your article body. Be aware about acceptable keyword density to avoid being penalized for keyword spamming.

3. Articles. Your articles are your best tool in this marketing strategy. You need to make sure that all of them are well-written, content-rich, easy to understand, scannable, short, direct to the point, keyword-rich, and targeted to the needs and demands of your target market so they will be read and republished by other online users.

4. Submission. To easily increase your inbound links, strive to widely distribute your articles not only on publishing sites but also on forums, blogs, and on your website.

5. Resource box. This is the part where you have to tell your readers who you are, what you do, and what problems you solve. Your resource box must be compelling so you can drive online users to your website. Communicate your expertise, your desire to help, and the reasons why online users should trust you and check on your website.

Viral marketing is a methods of list building

There are multiple methods of list building, and if you are just getting started, until you have gained mastery over one or two methods, it is advisable to use multiple methods of list building strategies. You’ll see every step of the process, no matter how small, in exacting detail so

Article marketing is simply getting your information in front of as many eyes as possible in as many consumable forms as possible.

One of the best and easiest ways to do this is to re-purpose your articles in your blog.

The only real challenge is that at 300 to 500 words most articles are too long for your average blog post.So here aretwo ways to create several blog posts out of one article and build a little "article intrigue" while your are at it.

1. Split your article into three separate blog posts over an interval of three days or longer. This is especially simple if you have made 3 major points in your article. It can be done with any article though. In the first post use about a third of your article. At the end of the post, tell the reader a bit about what to expect in the next blog post. And so on.

2. Another great way to do this is to use the "read more" function on your blog. The read more icon on Word Press blogs looks like a sheet of paper cut in half. This is essentially what you are doing. At some point in your article place the read more command and your article stops there, creating a small post. When the reader clicks on the "read more" link they are taken to a new page and the rest of the article.

Bonus tip: To build in a little "article intrigue" place the read more link in the middle of a thought such as "something works really well for me is" and then place the read more link right there.

It is not difficult to make money from bum marketing once you know what it is. It is a new term that is said to have originated from somebody claiming that even a penniless bum could make money using it. I wish that were true, because I would immediately go on the road for a while and then try to use bum marketing to make money. However, it is just somebody trying to be different and use a new name for an old technique.

In fact, it is another name for article marketing. What the theory states is that even a bum must know something about something; at least enough to start up a website. Fill the site with content on your niche, based on a few good keywords, and then write a few articles to drive traffic to the site. In fact, all of that is quite possible, and is the way that many people have made their fortunes in internet marketing.

The key is getting a good niche, and getting good keywords around which to build your web pages. There is plenty software around to allow you to do that, and once you have a few pages on your website with reasonable content, you can start marketing it and then monetize it. You might think that is the wrong way round, and it should be monetized first, but that would be a mistake. First, start advertising your website for the content it contains. You can put products on the site later.

You will ultimately do better that way than if you jump right in with a website full of products. Provide good and useful content, and add the products later. Now comes the bum part. The crux of bum marketing is writing articles. If you write two or three articles every week on the subject of your website then you will get traffic, and you will get valuable links back to your web pages from highly ranked pages. The traffic and the links are important.

After a week or so check your listing in Google. If you are listed at all, it doesn't matter where, than start to add products to your website. Keep writing articles, but lead your readers to the content pages on your website rather to the product pages. Your visitors will get to the products themselves when they are ready to purchase, so don't force them. You can lead them to any page you want by using links in your Author's Resource box that most article directories allow. Those that don't provide an actual box allow you to add the links at the end of the article.

The links you provide should direct the reader to a page on your website that provides more information on the subject of the article they have just been reading. That means 'more information. And not the same information. You have to expand on what information your article provided, and then provide link on your web page to a product or sales page.

That is the theory. For most, however, it does not work like that. They are unfamiliar with the technique needed to write a good article, and to make people want to click through to their website. Article writing is actually a skill, and it is little wonder that so many are being refused by the directories. Many lack even basic grammar, let alone an obvious lack of knowledge about how spell checkers work. So here are some tips on how to make bum marketing work for you.

First, get a good niche. Make it something you really know something about. Most people know about something, and you will be surprised at the type of niches from which people make money. Arts and crafts, knitting, quilting, oral hygiene, how to get a date, how to play football, losing weight, putting on weight, lighthouses, pirates and cheating at video games. Anything goes: people make money from anything and everything.

Secondly, get a good web host, not a cheapo. Get one that gives you autoresponders and email addresses, subdomains, and a checkout and payment system and traffic analysis. Pay about $25 monthly if you can afford it. Then design you site well, so that it will get listed by the search engines. Write each page based on one keyword phrase.

Then write articles. Spell check often, and use a grammar checker if you have one. Get somebody else to read it over - but somebody that is a good English speaker. Let them fix any mistakes in spelling and grammar then submit the article to as many directories as possible. Wait a day or two then put your products on your website.

The write another few articles, each one based on a different page of your website. Submit them to article directories and keep doing this. You should soon notice a difference in your traffic, and you should start to sell some products. You can the change your marketing strategies to suit the pages that most people are visiting on your website.

You can make money from bum marketing if you are able to write, but if you cannot, then the way how to overcome that is to have them ghost written or to have a friend check the article over for you.

Online marketing starts with your website

Internet marketing allows you to reach a global audience. Internet marketing is marketing your business online. Online marketing starts with your website; make sure its attractive and easy to use. When they need information, modern-day consumers turn first to the Internet. All of your online marketing will make sure they will find

Here is a list of seven tactics that you can employ to improve you search engine rankings. By way of example, a business that sells red Swingline staplers will be used for this article.

Find the right key words The most important factor in getting quality web traffic is to optimise your web pages for the correct key words. Getting the most sales is often a balance between search volume for key words and level of competition. Interestingly, the search term office space stapler ranks as well as red swingline stapler. Interestingly, the term red swingline stapler office space is a very popular search term with very little competition. The best strategy here would be to have a different page optimised for each of these terms. Use the Overture keyword tool and Google Adwords tool to research and identify your best key word phrases. It also pays to see what key words your successful competitors are optimising for.

Put your key word phrase in your title tag Forget about putting your company name in the title tag (unless it is a valuable part of the key words), it's a waste of words and will not help you rank in the search engines. The first three of four words in your title tag should be the key word phrase you are trying to optimise for.

Write a compelling description tag Title tags are for search engines, description tags are for humans. Spend time crafting a description tag that compels the reader to click on your listing. Come up with a great offer, use action words. Example: Get your own genuine red Swingline stapler here. Great prices, fast delivery, 12 month guarantee. 1000's sold around the world. As seen in the movie Office Space.

Use H1 tags An often neglected search engine optimisation technique is to put your key words in H1 tags on your page. This tip alone can drastically improve your search engine rankings. Similarly, the use of bold and strong html tags can emphasise a key word phrase withing the paragraph text where it may not be appropriate to use H1 or H2 tags.

Get quality one-way incoming links through article marketing As far as Google is concerned, link exchanges are just about dead. They can help to get you site spidered and indexed more quickly, but these day they add very little in terms of search engine rankings. A far better approach is to write interesting and informative articles and submit them to article directories. Make sure that you use the author bio/resource box to maximum advantage by using your key word phrase in the link anchor text, AND, by pointing the anchor text to the correct page. You home page may not be the best choice of pages for your selected key phrase. This will also ensure that more pages than just your home page gets indexed.

Get a decent key word ratio Aim for a keyword density of around 3-5% of the page contents. Try to weave your key word phrase into the page so that it reads naturally. Use headings and sub-headings that include your key words.

Use alt tags and description tags on images Key words used image file names, alt tags and description tags add to the key word density of any web page. They doesn't make a huge difference, but every little bit helps. In some product classes a Google image search may lead web surfers to your web site.

Just what are the Benefits of Submitting Articles to E-Zines

E-zine advertising is perhaps one of the most underused forms of promotion. It is a good idea to do your homework, before launching your viral marketing campaign. Article writing and publishing has become the latest buzz in the internet website marketing world. The name of the game as far as Internet marketing

I am a person who is interested in all aspects of search engine optimisation, web promotion and web marketing. I have to admit that I am a bit of a geek as I love to read through the seo forums. I learn quite a lot from these forums however am also, at times, left feeling a little bemused. I can never quite get my head around the amount of people that criticise article marketing. In this article, I am going to be sticking up for writing articles as a form of website promotion by explaining why I believe article marketing works.

The days of buying links to get you to the top of the search engine rankings has gone. Excessive reciprocal linking has also been banished to the wayside. The importance of obtaining one-way links, links that are not paid for, has never been so apparent.

Writing an article and submitting it to a couple of article directories costs nothing. The article should be around three to find hundred words in length, it should be original and of use to any reader.

I am fully aware that the main links that people gain via article marketing are quite poor, however if you stick with it for long enough, you are bound to obtain a few decent ones as well.

I have been writing and submitting about five articles per week for the last three years now and the results have been quite outstanding.

I am going to continue on this trend and would advise other people to start writing articles as a free and easy way to rise up the rankings. It is quite simple, the more articles you write, the more products you will sell. Good luck and I hope article marketing proves as beneficial to you as it has for me.

As an SEO guy I find myself waking up in a cold sweat dreaming up creative new ways to maximize my clients search results. "What if I coded it this way" or "If we syndicated the XML feed a different way, we'd blow everyone's mind".

In the constantly changing world of algorithms, browser search behaviors, RSS and XML, and simply keeping up with the competition, even the SEO pros sometimes need to take a step back from the "coolness" and speed of technology and revisit our "old friend" the SEO Do's and Don't's!

Here's the list of SEO Do's and Dont's I keep posted on the wall in front of my Captain Kirk-esque command center:

SEO Do's and Don'ts

Do:
1. Adhere to industry best practices and guidelines. www.bruceclay.com is good stuff and pretty much industry standard)
2. Create relevant and useful content for the website using keyword terms
3. Add new content as often as possible
4. Keep website and sitemap up to date
5. Build links in an ongoing, even paced manner
6. Build unique web pages for each keyword term (product or service)
7. Monitor and maintain rankings and competition
8. Remember that every aspect of your website is intertwined with all others (in terms of SEO)
9. Consult your SEO Specialist for recommendations before making any major changes
10. Be patient! SEO is an ongoing process that takes time

Don't
1. Try to cheat the system, you will get caught, and the gain is only temporary and the penalties are indefinite
2. Use less than 300 words worth of readable, useful content on each page
3. Link to bad neighborhoods or allow bad neighborhoods to link to you (unless you actually are an online porno casino based in Nigeria that sells Canadian Viagra to underage US customers!)
4. Spam like there is no tomorrow
5. Add tons of links as fast as you can
6. Focus on only one linking strategy
7. Over use keyword terms (keyword spamming)
8. Put text into images. Search engines can't read it and don't care about your images
9. Forget to interlink your own website
10. Drive yourself crazy checking your rankings every hour on the hour!

It's great to stay on top of the latest and greatest changes, trends, tools and the ever present "What's Google doing" gossip - there's plenty to be found. What's even greater is achieving long term success on the search engines without letting your core business go to hell in a search term basket!

Happy SEOing!
